Growing up in Dalton, GA, director/writer/producer Jeff Burr avidly watched low-budget independent movies at the local drive-in theater and made Super-8 pictures as a kid. Burr attended the University of Southern California for three years, where he met fellow student and aspiring filmmaker Kevin Meyer. The two of them dropped out of USC to complete Divided We Fall (1982), an acclaimed Civil War drama that wound up winning a plethora of awards at various film festivals all over the world. Burr made his first fright feature in 1987 with the superbly creepy and disturbing horror anthology winner From a Whisper to a Scream (1987) with Vincent Price. Burr then directed Stepfather II (1989), Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III (1990), Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings (1993) and the fourth and fifth "Puppetmaster" movies (Puppet Master 4(1993) and Puppet Master 5 (1994)). Burr also directed Eddie Presley (1992), starring Duane Whitaker, who also wrote the screenplay; Night of the Scarecrow (1995); Johnny Mysto: Boy Wizard (1997); the harrowing World War II action drama Straight Into Darkness (2004); and Devil's Den (2006).
Avery Jones is a puppeteer, and is the principal performer behind (and beneath) Slappy in Goosebumps (2015) and Goosebumps: Haunted Halloween (2018) alongside Jack Black. He has performed on episodes of Sesame Street, co-produces Heath and the Checker Shoe Band for Christian Television Network, and works as a puppet designer and builder for performers around the world in film, theatre, and television. Chace Ambrose is an actor, writer, and newscaster. He began his career in 1998 in the unlikeliest of places, a sci fi convention where he met founder and president of Troma Entertainment, Lloyd Kaufman.
Lloyd hires Chace and a couple of weeks later he was in New York working on the script for what would become The Toxic Avenger IV.
From there Chace continued to write and act in low budget films until 2006 when he switched gears and became a television reporter for WGXA in Macon Ga. Eventually working his way to anchor, Chace would go on to work at television stations in Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Now retired from newscasting, Chace now does a little freelance writing and has returned to acting, taking small roles in Cobra Kai, MacGyver, and Legacies as well as Clint Eastwood’s upcoming film Jewel.
Jarrod “The Yard Sale Artist” Alberich is the creator of his own original comic book, “Hamilton vs. Burr: A Werewolf Tale.” Jarrod is also a trading card artist who has done work for Marvel & Upper Deck trading cards.
